Predator control in Cobb/Mount Arthur area of Kahurangi National Park

We plan to distribute non-toxic cereal bait pellets by helicopter between 1 June and 1 August 2026, depending on the weather. The Cobb/Mount Arthur area of Kahurangi National Park will remain open. You are advised not to enter the area on the days of the operation. See the Pesticide Summary Map for the operation area. DOC will distribute toxic bait containing 1080 as soon as possible, but at least 5 days after, non-toxic bait is applied. This operation is part of DOC's National Predator Control Programme to protect native species.
