Motu Road closed due to big slip

The road is closed, preventing access to the Pakihi Track from the Northern End of Motu Road (from SH35). This affects users travelling from Tirohanga and surrounding areas. The only access to the Pakihi Track is via the Sourthern end of Motu Road from Matawai (SH2), until further notice. First published on 19 January 2026.
