Wallaby search operation – 13 April–13 May

A wallaby search operation will be taking place in Oteake Conservation Area on Mondays to Fridays from 13 April to 13 May 2026, excluding public holidays. The search will use wallaby-specific hunting dogs, and firearms will be carried. Access will not be restricted. First published on 6 April 2026.
