Vehicle access restriction to Port Levy Saddle Carpark
Western Valley Road is currently closed between the summit and Port Levy due to a large road dropout and 2 slips. Road works are also planned for 2 weeks starting 18 May. The road will be closed during the day on weekdays. The road may remain closed if it cannot be safely reopened each day. Access information: Vehicle access is only available to a point approximately halfway up Western Valley Road, where a temporary car park will be in place. Walkers may speak to staff at the closure to continue on foot to the summit. Allow an extra 4 km (approximately 1hr) on a steady uphill gradient.
