Predator control for Aoraki Mt Cook National Park
Zero Invasive Predators distributed toxic bait pellets containing 1080 by helicopter on 9-10 April 2026. The operation area remains open. It includes parts of Aorak/Mt Cook National Park, Liebig Range and Mt Cook Station Conservation Area. See the pesticide summary for a map of the area It is not safe to hunt for food in this area for up to 8 months. Warning signs and this web alert will be removed once the area is safe again.
