Wairere Falls Track section closed

The gorge section of the Wairere Falls Track is closed due to safety concerns. A large, unstable boulder is threatening a key structure on the track and there is ongoing land movement in the area. We are actively working on upgrades to critical structures along the track to improve visitor safety and experience. First published on 13 June 2025. Last reviewed on 16 April 2026.
