Te Matua Ngahere Walk will be closed from March to October 2026 while we upgrade infrastructure. Tāne Mahuta will remain open during this time. Alternative experiences available include Trounson Kauri Park Loop Track, Waiotemarama in Waimamaku, and Puketi / Omahuta Forests. This work is part of the Rākau Rangatira project.
