Bridge replacement on Tongariro River Trail

The Major Jones Bridge is being replaced from 20 April to September 2026. Some access restrictions will occur at times with the contractor managing visitor access and safety. Make your presence known to contractors and follow instructions given. First published on 10 April 2026.
